So I was browsing through forums and decided to drop by here and post a thread about me. In case any of you who are reading this don't know, I'm a new member to this.... er, interesting group of people :p

Fav type of music: I used to listen to anything and everything (minus oldies), but I'm starting to move more towards Christian music (though there's still PLENTY of Christian Rock, Metal, Rap, etc., and I'm into pretty much all of it)
Favorite movie: This is why I hate "favorites" ! :( I don't know... I enjoy plenty of movies
Favorite computer game: Unreal Tournament 2004
Favorite computer program: php.exe ? :p Favorite program altogether? AOL Instant Messenger - it's my life! :p

Type of car you drive: I randomly steal people's cars at my high school's parking lot and drive them around for a week
Type of car you really drive (the truth please): After totaling my '98 Honda Accord, I now have a '99 Honda Prelude SH w/ VTEC + AEM Cold Air Intake
Next vacation, length & destination: Not sure.. maybe a cruise to some island for Christmas?
If you have any superpower in the world, what would it be, and why? The ability to look someone in the eyes and hear their thoughts

Years in the industry: Well I started looking at some PHP code in the year.. 2001? Maybe 2000? Don't remember.
Background: I love computers, especially programming and technical support.
Focus of work: Well, I'm in high school so this is a bit limited, but I work for my school district's technology administrator (helpdesk and whatnot), make house calls for computer support, and some website programming.
Which platform do you use: Develop at home on Windows, publish on the web on whatever Linux flavour my host uses.
Fav PHP editor/IDE: Either Notepad2 or Dreamweaver MX 2004 (just because I can setup a "site" and have it automatically upload)
What's your favorite PHP function/why? mysql_real_escape_string() - Just because it's a PITA to type with the length and all
Tips for the noob: Search the boards. I know, I know, it's a lame and overrused suggestion, but... *shrug*
Why do you volunteer your time as a moderator? Well, because I'm here a lot anyways. I love to help people, whether it's at school at the IT helpdesk or here at home over the Internet.
