I work in a small 5 man IT department with about 250+ nodes. I have been trying to track down a decent IT Helpdesk/Ticket managing system that will run on windows/iis6/php/mysql or any other flavor with some form of LDAP integration.

Can anyone suggest a decent piece of software. I have looked at alot of sites and have come up with a few pay scripts but no decent free/open source ones.

Help before I drown in the pool of unworthy scripting!!!!

We used Remedy for a number of years and it was excellent but definitely not cheap. I know that's not what you're asking for but if it saves you development time, troubleshooting time, and has features that make your department successful, then it could pay for itself many times over.

I've seen many suggestions on the Tech Geeks list (link (http://www.tech-geeks.org)) that I'm subscribed to. The archives of this list are indexed on Google, so try looking through this (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=help+desk+site%3Awww.tech-geeks.org) Google search.
