I was sitting here perusing the PHPBuilder forums while listening to some music on the "Deep Tracks" XM Radio channel which DirecTV broadcasts. A song started which I sort of thought I recognized, but wasn't sure, so I looked up at the TV to see the artist/title listing. What did I see?...

Heh, no. I speak no French at all. Diction in college (music degree), and in the early 80s I was in a band called "Des Oeuf Casse". Other than that, ne parle Francais.

So, I search for my old band names, and this is the only place Google can find it.

Small wonder, could be our French was almost as bad as PiersK's?

Not to mention, one, maybe two performances. Nvm that one was on regional TV in the "MidSouth" USA (probably, in retrospect that would be the absolute *easiest* market to break into, save perhaps Alaska (north shore)).

And, nevermind that the bass player got a degree from Berklee (the music school), the guitarist a degree from Memphis State (didn't fall *too* far from the tree), and so on (dunno about the drummer, and the sax player became an I.T. guy, as have I).

So, there's the history of yet another ${artist}. In this case, it was an array().

Well, we're making *progress* on it. I think strtolower() might work.

The worship band at church, usually. I love all kinds of music, but pretty much decided quite a while back that it was too much trouble to simply use in wooing women (esp. when I already have mine ;) ) Speaking of which, my wife also has a group ... I produced a CD for them about 4 years ago (ouch, is it 2012 *already*?) and play for them when they perform ... which is generally when they're not having babies or tending to their families. Our last big deal was a performance at the Missouri State Capitol summer before last, although there have been smaller venues since then.

Dunno what else I've been doing musically. As I age it seems I have many other things to attend to ... thought I might, indeed, rather be "playing" tunes ...
