Technical Overview of New Thread

This exciting new post by a valued member of the widely-respected PHPBuilder Community delivers on our promise to provide the most useful and interesting ECHO LOUNGE content and demonstrates the EL's commitment to giving you the best entertainment and LOL'ing experience possible.

The thread builds upon the impressive track record of the EL's previous threads by introducing numerous refinements and providing enhanced security. Reading this thread will help enterprises in all industry segments reduce stress, increase productivity, and simplify workflows through guided doc/marketer writer bashing.

Post Overview

"dalecosp" is committed to creating posts that enhance the stability, productivity, and memory capacity of readers in the enterprise. The primary objective of this post is to ridicule the use of heavy marketing buzzwords in so-called 'technical' documents. Currently, a number of companies are guilty of doing this frequently in online resources that are directed towards "technical" readers.

Post Primer

Traditionally, EL posts are short, silly, and lack professional copy-editing. While silliness has abounded before, older posts rarely contained significant amounts of pure satire. This post contains value-added phraseology that will increase wry grins and enhance stress reduction.

What's in this post?

Tongue-in-chic language
Pure sarcasm
Implicit criticism
Simplified verb tenses
Maximum-value buzzwords
Empty catchphrases
Adverbs!
Outright plagiarism

Why should you read this thread?

This thread is a no-cost way for enterprises to enhance their online experience. This post updates known shortcomings of previous threads, and adds to its capabilities to meet the complementary features to enhance its humor, readability, and guffaw level.

This post is an especially attractive invective against organizations that have already adopted the habit of passing documentation through the marketroid department. Not only is this post new and improved, it includes new functionality to meet real-world needs discovered since the last thread. This post marks a large step forward in the EL's maturity as a powerful tool for societal ridicule.

System Requirements

In general, requirements for this post are the same as the general EL requirements listed below.

At this point, I tire. You might notice the finger pointing (yup, *that* one) gently in the direction of Washington state, as I collapse into my chair.

Why is it, that, when you want to read and understand something, you must cut and paste the doc and remove 60% of the text to get any real content?

Slow day at the office?

ROFLMAO, Weed trumps again. "A dig in the ribs, and then a kick in the head." Indeed.

Slow day at the office?Nah. Frustrating half-day (more, actually, when you count travel time, lunch break, head-scratching, yesterday's phone calls/emails and remote admin attempts, packing the car, etc.) at the client's NOC. Google a good string, trust that the results are relevant (after all, problem might be related to the product maligned above), and when I want answers, I get several K of adjectives and an HTML table or two.

Since it's an "important" facility, I couldn't vent there....
