I'm renaker and I've recently started learning php using one of those "for dummies" books. The book has given me quite a bit to work with, but I'm always running into problems that aren't answered. This site looks pretty cool/friendly, and I hope to become a regular.

And let me just say, I hope that the book you have is current and credible; too many books/articles/snippets that are handed down these days are full of horrible code that should never see the light of day. :p

Feel free to ask questions (even if they seem trivial) and, more importantly, utilize the Code Critique forum - that's where you can get live, up-to-date feedback/criticism for code you've written (something no book can do).

Welcome aboard guys :) I think you'll find these forums very friendly. The moderators are very level headed, fair and knowledgeable (I still haven't been promoted to Mega Monster El-Presidenté Moderator yet.. but I'm working on it ;) ).

This site has helped me a great deal in my short time here, and I'm sure it will help you both out as well.. This site definitely has a good old fashion 'small town where everyone knows everyone' kind of warm fuzzy feeling to it IMO.

Enjoy!

Cheers,

NRG

P.S I'm more of the village clown (some will argue more like village idiot, but pay no attention to them!) :)
