:-( I dont get it. I think I have been programming for too long.
The only apostrophe joke I ever liked was one I heard a script(?) writer say years ago, but I dont know their name.
It went along the lines of:
I spend half the day putting an apostrophe in, and then the other half taking it out
It was related to a question of "how was your writing progressing".
If anyone can locate the correct quote and author, that would be cool.

haha, The apostrophe only comes in one style, that is why i think its funny, they are selling "many styles" of them. and who sells apostrophes. llollll:)

Well, "many styles" is called marketing. Its no more/less bull than most corporate adverts.

The price of anything is based on who is willing to buy it.
I personally think apostrophes are worth more than pokie (gambling) machines, or roads full of smog polluting RV's. I can go on and on.
What is an apostrophe worth? Its worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I thought maybe the attempt at humor was the incorrect use of apostrophes in two places on the sign (the so-called "grocer's apostrophe" as described in Eats, Shoots and Leaves (http://www.amazon.com/Eats-Shoots-Leaves-Tolerance-Punctuation/dp/1592402038/)).

er.. as a one time typographer I can assure you apostrophes come in many styles, Cooper Black, Helvetica 39, Perpetua, Gill Sans, Bodoni, Garamond, Akzidenz Grotesk, Frutiger, Copperplate, I could go on for a long time
and now you know why the limited font choice in web pages is veritably sinful restriction

I'm surprised no-one has seen that there are 3 different styles of apostrophes in the sign.
