forget to compile mysql module as part of php

After I compiled installed apache, php and mySQL on my linux box, I was all excited to get phpMyAdmin working. And oops, nothing comes up!
And all of sudden I remember that I forgot to compile mySQL module when installing php.
Please advice on what I should do. Thank you in advance.

Well, a recompile of php and apache sounds logical :)
