I'm trying to get the PDF functions working with win98, PHP 4.0.2 and omniHTTP. I've downloaded the ActiveX PDFlib. This works fine with ASP on PWS but not with PHP on Omni. IT comes with a DLL called PDFlib_cam.dll where aa everthing I read says use PHP_pdf.dll - why is this? and why id there no mention to PDF extensions in my PHP.ini?

bull****....i downloaded that bundle from http://php.weblogs.com and it apparently does not include a bunch of dll's that are needed (namely the dll the originator of this message body indicated). in fact when i installed that bundle, suddenly i could not view ASP pages on my NT Server OS. why is that? are PHP folks acting with hypocrisy by accusing Microsoft of restricting ASP programmers to the Windows platform, when PHP programmers can't even view ASP pages on the server upon which they are developing in PHP? if there is something i am missing here about PHP, that wasn't included in the very limited amount of instructions provided with the bundle that i downloaded form the above mentioned site, please let me know.

thanks,

I am sorry for my mistake, thomas. I have not check through the site before suggesting it to you. The fact is, as you have said, the PDF_dll is not included inside the installer. However i have been cautions before giving out this site, haven't i said that i have no idea of what is PDF, and all i have said is you might as well find the thing you need. "Might" not "must".
Anyway it's my fault to be giving out information before confirming it. Once again i am sorry and i hope your problem will be soon over.
And please notice this, PHP is written by free body, there is no reason for them to design PHP to sarbotaje ASP, it is pointless, useless and worthless.Who want to do such things? Thus i believe that the problem lies in the misconfiguration of your web server, please check through. About the installation instruction, what more instruction do you need for a click and next installation. The fact that what it does is just how we do when installing PHP manually. For further information please check the PHP installation manual. Once again i am sorry for what i have done, i will be more carefull when giving out information next time.

thanks,

Highend
(Ah.. just for a note, eventhough my nickname sound advance i am actually just a Newbies discovering PHP. I can't be sorry if you trust my suggestion so much just because of my nickname. Next time i will shout aloud "i am a Newbies and beware.")
