Can anyone help me please? I'm trying to setup PHP4 / Apache 1.3.17 / Mod_SSL / OpenSSL + MySQL on a Sun E220R Sparc running Solaris 8.

I have found several documents for some but not all of the above will little success. It always falls over at some point or other.

I have successfully had Apache running with OpenSSL + Mod_SSL but doing a fresh install with MySQL + PHP4 is proving to be very challenging indeed.

Can someone provide a guide as to what / how this needs to be configured?

Thanks - Julian.

I have had similar troubles installing Apache + PHP4 + mySQL + mod_ssl.

I get them compiled just fine, however, when the mod_ssl module is compiled in PHP fails to parse and dumps the code as straight HTML/text. Has anyone else experienced/solved this problem?

If I compiled without mod_ssl PHP parses the files just fine. I've compiled many many times with just Apache/PHP/mySQL but this is the first time with mod_ssl. Could this be some kind of module conflict?

I'm using the latest versions of everything (Apache 1.3.20, PHP4.0.5, etc).

Thanks,

-Tim
