The p100 can handle a small site with limited traffic, and the p3 733 is intended to handle multiple sites with a good amount of traffic. D jmoreau 02-15-2001, 10:26 PM were you able to get the same system on a laptop? trippyd 02-16-2001, 08:50 AM I have never tried it on a laptop, but there is no reason why it wouldn't work on one. Anon 02-16-2001, 09:08 AM I have heard that some displays may not work, just wanted to know before making the wrong hardware investment trippyd 02-16-2001, 10:00 AM I would check the linux hardware how-to at howto.tucows.com to see what works. Anon 02-16-2001, 10:14 AM After checking the Linux hardware how-to for FreeBSD compatibility information, why not go over to Starbucks and ask them to build you a house? When you're done wasting time, you can go here: http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/install-hw.html I'll tell you from my experience that, unlike the completely different animal called Linux, FreeBSD is *VERY* particular about hardware - so if it isn't on the list don't expect it to work. The upside is that once it is working, FreeBSD is faster, more reliable, and generally better than Linux. trippyd 02-16-2001, 10:21 AM Whoops, my bad, I am not awake yet. You are right. FreeBSD is pretty particular about its hardware. <slaps self upside the head> D PHP Builder
