configure failed

I have to follow each step in installation apache-php, but i don't know when I configure php with mysql and apache the console writting that aalocal, autoconf, automove, etc was missing..
and they cannot find output from lex.
is the installation betwen php3 & php4 is different. i have install mysql packet and
my operating system is Linux Red Hat 7.1

To solve the problem with the 'no output from lex', you'll have to install 'flex.xxxxxx.rpm'. It's probably on the installation cd of RedHat...
I had the same problem and installation of flex-2.5.4a-6.i386.rpm was the sollution...
