browscap

hello there.
well my php works just fine but recently I scaned through article on this site about installing it and found something about 'browscap'... well problem is that I don't know what's that. I looked through my php.ini and that line was commented, so I was wondering what it does?

about half way down through the text it mentions browscap and its function.
