Hi all:
I'm currently in Indonesia with a terrible internet connection and haven't got all day to search the archives! (We're setting up a new faster ISP here!!)
We use RH7 on an i386 with MySQL 3.23.36 and it refuses to install (It is the rpm taken from the rh7 bundle CD)
I get the all too common "mysql.sock can't be found error" Which means that the mysql deamon hasn't been started yet, but having tried /bin/mysql_install_db and safe_mysqld & etc etc with no success is leaving me with headaches!
Can anyomne out there help me(us) out??
