adding modules after installation

Hello.

I have had php4 running on my server for a year now fine.

Suddenly I require the php FTP features do to firewalls blocking my direct server access.

I cannot risk uninstalling and re-installing php at the moment as there are too many other people and scripts relying on it.

So no installing and compiling with "--enable-ftp".

Have been looking on the www.php.net site and such to see if I can get the ftp functions enables at this point without disrupting the current setup.

I've done this a couple times (always from source) and never had any problems... just ensure all your config's are the same, etc.. but it was a relatively painless procedure...
