Dear all,

A certain amount of child process to handle requests is left in both apache and mysql after running the corresponding scripts in the webpage. Is there any config files to set the max/min time for the child process to stay, no matter if you close the connect or not. How to configure those files?
Thanks

Simon

Manuals are a greate help here.

mysql's children are left open as long as apache keeps it's children open. Starting a new child takes much more resources than keeping it alive.

If you are not in desperate need of the resources they take up I suggest you leave them alone.
