Howdy :o)
I’ve started a little project here to put together a “LAMP” server fore hosting dynamic web pages. (ok I admit I don’t have the slightest experience in any of the applications needed, but that haven’t stopped me before so...)
Well I tried to do some homework on the subject and so I got my hands on the latest RedHat 7.2 release (wiii downloaded 1.25 GB), which turned out to include all the applications needed. Not the latest version of everything but new enough.
So now to the point, I installed the ServerInstall with Apache, MySQL, PHP4 and some other stuff. Well as I said I’m new to the whole idée here so what I would like to know is if anyone has had the opportunity to examine the predefined settings of this’ packages, especially the PHP settings?
The --without-mysql clearly needs to be recompiled but how good/bad are the other settings?
The phpinfo() page is over here http://koti.mbnet.fi/2zs/phpconf.html (just a html)
And Apache configs based upon some NCSA configurations... whatever that means?
O, and is there any place concerning security info especially fore a LinuxApacheMysqlPhp server combination?
