server error

i want to use the mail function in php.i have set the options in the php.ini file also.i am working in windows backoffice small business server operating system.If i try to execute this program it is showing the error message as "server error".Please help me find a solution.

Here I need a help from u.
I am in germany and studying M.S in e-business.Here I got internship program in siemens .But there i have to do a project on PHP4.
Even I don't know how to install php.
Please could u help me to drive out of this frustration.
Please If u have some software ,could u please send me sothat i could install here and could work here.
