im running Apache 1.3.14 on my local machine under win 98, using Frontpage 2000 ..

i want to be able to run FrontPage 2000 Server Extentions under taht...

mod_frontpage http://home.edo.uni-dortmund.de/~chripo/download.html
is a module that supports this feature, unfortunatley ...itz doznt work under Apache Win32

It was not made for the Win32 platform

Is this a test machine? As a server I would not think Win98 would be the appropriate OS...

If you were using Win2k, the server extensions can be added to the server during setup. As that is one of its purposes, acting as a webserver, then you are adding the Front page extensions functionality to that server.

The aforementioned Mod allows Apache server running on Unix to allow people who create, upload and then serve out pages from a UNIX machine to be able to *spoof* the Front Page support (at least that would be my guess at their intention.)

Anyway, if you read the readme included in the .tar.gz you can see that they are talking about these files to be used with UNIX.

sorry...

As far as using Front page extensions on your machine, I would think a) upgrade to Win2k and b) if that's the case...why use Apache then?

solid as a rock once I got it finally configured correctly lol.. Do i have any hair left?

had to use PWS wich supports FrontPage Extension and PHP ...

thus; opening a BackDoor to microsoft on my sys ;-) lol ...
