server shows php source code

Hi,

Can anybody help? I have a link on one of my html pages which leads to a php page. When I click on this link in 80% cases I see the php source code, and in 20% the script works properly. What does this all mean? Wrong server configuration? Please, advice!

Sounds as if something quite serious is going on, likely a configuration/resources problem - need more specific server info (hardware details, os version, web server, php version, what modules have been compiled...)

At least I know this is definitely not my fault. I wrote a heavy letter to the hosting company.....
