php mail...mystery to me

hey guys i am tring to setup this card site and all da stuff is fine, i have php lastest and with apache 1.3 and now when i try the mail function ... it wont go through and then give me some error...but i do konw i have to setup up my php.ini for stmp server.NOW THE BEST PART IS I DONT KONW HOW TO.

if someone has done this can u plz explain what u did and how u did it with email address and stmp address

odd in a way dat i am replying to myself

well dat becuz it found my answer,well the problem i had was my mail function was not working properly...

mail("zeja_ajaz@hotmail.com", "My Subject", "MESSGES GOES HERE");

acutally dat is perfect but i had problem with my php.ini...if u look into it and find the block where it talks about mail it say
"stmp=localhost" php does it by itself now since i had a outgoing server from my cable company stmp1.sympatico.ca i just replaced it with localhost...next it gives u some
"sendmail_from = asim_ajaz@sympatico.ca" just use some address there valid one ofcourse but...

also i am running the outlook in the backgroud so it will do all the work as well...u may try it with or without it...

alrite now it think dat was enuff
