Hi

Can someone please tell me how to configure Apache, PHP4 and mySQL on a Win98 operating system?

I'm new at this and I can't find any sites that provide you with step-by-step procedures. I've downloaded the latest versions for the programs mentioned.

Need to know how to configure it ASAP for work...thanks!!

There is a program called PHPTriad that will install Apache, MySQL, PHP, and PHPMyAdmin automatically for you in windows.

This is the third time I've mentioned this program, but I haven't used it myself...I need to get going and test it...

Devshed has a tutorial on installing Apache, PHP, and MySQL, but I don't know if it's for windows or not.

PHPTriad is available at sourceforge.net/projects/phptriad. It's also listed at download.com.

I downloaded PHPTriad and it took me all of 1 minute to get Apache, PHP, and MySQL running. All you have to do is run the install program, it does everything. Very good program.

If you need more info on installation/configuration or need sample scripts and tutorials, go to the website http://www.thickbook.com and click on 'tutorials'. Also, while you're there, look at the rest of the site. This site is VERY HELPFUL.

Good Luck!

After many days of futile efforts trying to get the PHP to cooperate with MySQL and Apache on my W98 laptop I decided to try PHPTriad. It worked immediately! Thanks!

otherwise webmonkey has a tutorial too...followed that one yesterday while installing apache, php4 and mysql on a friends computer...piece of cake...(allthough phptriad or so is still easier than installing all three apart)...
