Dear PHP users,
I have Apache installed correctly and then tried to install PHP 4.0.1. And it didn't work. I moved the php.ini file to the to c:/windows and added to code supplied with the install.txt. But is does not work. Please help

i installed apache v 1.3.12 on Win 2000 pro.

How can i verify, if my system may already have a number of http servers running, there isn't a port clash.
how can i ensure other httpd servers are not also using port 80.

thank you in advance for replying

Open the Services Control Panel and see if IIS is running (it's not installed by default). If it is, go into the MMC and make sure that any websites with IIS aren't running on Port 80. You may have to stop the IIS Admin Service when you want to run Apache since having both run at the same time can cause conflicts. Hope this helps!!!

You can find Apache at httpd.apache.org, click the download section and then the binary section. From there click either Win32 or Linux. Finally, just download the .exe or source
