found php_mcrypt.dll

I've found the Dll file for Mcrypt but I'm not too positive of how to get it to work, does anyone have any ideas on this? I'd appreciate any help in this matter.

Nope.... but you're also one of the first to find a copy of the dll so it's not too surprising:) Where did you get it from and what's the PHP build version (ie. 4.0.4, 4.0.6, etc.)?

Well I found the DLL here..

And I tried it on Win32 Build 4.0.5 and 4.0.6

Well..... seeing as how it says "php402" in the url, I think it probably logical to assume that the copy of php_mcrypt.dll is compiled for the 4.0.2 build:) Since extensions are build specific in PHP, you'll need to run 4.0.2 to use that dll.

yeah that didn't work either though. So I pretty much give up. I'll do it the easy way and just get a linux box or something. I really am not sure how to compile PHP with Mcrypt in it.
