how can i lower my ping with a 56k? i have set my netspeed a little lower (which has lowered it about 30.) what else can i do? My email address is Ftballboy989@aol.com

best you're going to get is about 200ms on average. for games i'd expect to see 250ms-350ms average.
if i remember correctly the latency of the digital-analog-digital conversion adds about half the latency. PPP stack adds about 20-30ms. modem equipment on the isp side adds about another 20-30ms.
