Nice forum, ladies and gentlemen.

Hmmm... looks like php.net is down today, and I wanted to look something up in the manual, namely the function that lets you read in configuration files. I'm thinking that it might be both convenient and secure to stash the config file outside the web document tree and read in your MySQL connection parameters from it.... That's what I get for not downloading my own copy.

Actually I'm just searching for something to say so I can try my first ever post.

I looked behind the sofa's, blew away the dust and found this. A long forgotten thread. One of the first posted in the echo loaunge. Revived and bought back to life from the drakest depths.
