Question Horizontal scrolling

I just joined this forum and really appreciate the information I've been finding (mainly in the newby area).

However, one thing is mildly irritating. Many of the posts require extensive horizontal scrolling to read each line of the message.

This is my first post and it appears that the textbox for entering messages does automatically wrap at the end. I realize that wrapping can cause problems with included code where the author hasn't made an effort to keep within the margins (useful for printing purposes).

I'm using w2k and IE6 (text size set to "smallest").

If you can do anything to make these posts easier to read, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again for all sharing your knowledge with us newbies.

Bob

I've noticed that on several boards on a few browsers but haven't seen it on this board. Can you point me to one that give you H scroll?

It seems to happen when code clippits are pasted that do not have wraps.

See forinstance in the "newbie" forum the following:

Thanks

this is due to the fact that [ code ] and [ php ] using the < pre > tags, which remove linebreaks.
