PHP and Dreamweaver MX....umm?

I Have Dreamweaver MX + PHP and the apache server + MY Sql + MYPHPadmin....etc.

****When doing my site for now on, Do I need to save all my site files (root directorty as.... C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs

(Shortcut to desktop can be created if necessary)

Instead of C:\Documents and Settings\Chester\Desktop\mysite
*****

Taking into consideration that development will be performed locally

I hope this is not confusing
