How can I upgrade phpfi-2.0.1-12 to php4?

My Linux Server is running RedHat Linux 6.1 with CLE(Chinese Linux Extendsion).

MySQL, Apache, PHP/FI is installed by RPM. Now I want to use HP4 functions on my recent project. But after I have compiled PHP4 source code and installed it. Some php cannot executed properly! All error is occur when I use MySQL functions in php file.

When I compile PHP4 source code, I have already configured it to support MySQL.

What can I do?
