Windows 2000 Professional + PHP3 + MySQL + CGI

Hello,

I have Windows 2000 Professional.
How do I install PHP3 and MySQL on Windows 2k? I have done it in Windows 98 SE with Apache as webserver.
But it seems that Apache can't be used in Windows 2k.

Which webserver do you recommend and how do I install PHP3 and MySQL on it?

Are there any tutorials?
I know there are tutorials for Win98.

Thanks in advance,
Patrick

I have installed Apache as a webserver on Win2k. But, when I install it as a service it isn't executed as a service.

I don't know how to start it as a service.

I can't get http://localhost (I get an DNS error) and IIS has been disbled.

Go here Controlpanel->Administration tools (don't know what it's called in english version, im using an SE version but something like that)->Services

Then search for a service called "Apache" right click on it ant select start and you are done..

Good luck!

Hi,

So, I created a NT service and found out how to start it, but after a few seconds the service stops with an error!

How did you exactly install Apache on Windows 2000 Professional? And what starting parameters should I give the service?

I Just downloaded Apache 1.3.12 and installed it with the typical installation, and then installed the service and turned it on, no more. So I don't know what your problem is =(

EASY INSTALL -PHPTriad

Just download the program, unzip it, run the executable. Apache,Mysql +mysqlAdmin and PHP will be installed. Make sure you go to PWS-personal web server and stop it first before going to localhost.
