[PHP-DB] Oracle 8 performance From: Mark Newnham (mnewnham <email protected>)

I ran a simple test (insert 1000 records) into an oracle 8i database using
both odbc and oci (php_oci8.dll). To my suprise the odbc driver is almost
25% faster than the native mode. I would have expected the results to turn
out the other way - or am I misunderstanding the whole purpose of the native
mode drivers.

Any thoughts/resources on this would be appreciated.
