Greetings!

We are a profitable travel start-up in Alexandria, VA which offers
discount hotel reservations in 43 countries and we are looking for a
full-time CTO (developer/sysadmin/webmaster) to join our team and to run

our new dedicated server (redhat linux) with our new php/mysql database

Our CTO will be responsible for hands on work which includes new content
integration, fine-tuning, troubleshooting and expansion (chat room,
hotel reviews, WAP, etc.).

A part of the job will involve providing technical support to our local
partner in 40+ countries who would access our database. We are looking
for a detail oriented (testing errors is a must), bright and creative
individual who can take charge and grow with our company. We require
near expert or
expert level knowledge of php, mysql, javascript, html and linux
(preferrably redhat)

This position will be pretty much your own show, meaning that at this
point you will be in charge of all IT aspects of our company. We have a
very much laid back environment here (no clients visit us), but we do
work hard and WE WORK FAST.

** You REALLY have to the mindset to get things done and thrive under
deadlines**

This is how we work here and the result is that we are leaders in our
industry nitche.

Also, our company is a bit unusual. We have 5 full timers here in our
office, but there are about 35 full time partners that are based
worldwide with whom we interact on daily basis. Part of the job
description for this position is that you help our international partner

to adopt to the new system. I suspect that the database maintaince part
will be about 30% which 70% will be new development.
