Cristian, se agregan las siguientes líneas:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
Espero que te sirva, en particular yo uso Linux (RedHat 7) + Apache 1.3.12 y
PHP 4.0.2, y funciona.
