I did that, and it works! I am now really able to communicate with the
database, although at the moment I just get timeouts waiting for the script
to return the results of a simple query.
Strange though: Although I set up the environment for the www user and the
oracle user, and the apache runs as www, I had to use putenv before I got a
connection. Is this "normal"?
