It really needs to be an enterprise-strength database. I know that MySQL is the
fastest, but the lack of other features makes it unsuitable for a large,
corporate site.

I am really looking for a good commercial database. Like I said, my current
candidates are Sybase and IBM DB2.

If anyone has any experience with big systems like this, (ie they rule, they
suck) I would really appreciate hearing about it.
