I've had the same error as listed in the bug description.

I've had it happen with 'if()', 'require()', and 'include()'.
It seems to be directly related to what the first command is in the
script in question.

This may be completely unrelated to this bug but I have also had several
Empty page problems as well.

PHP 3.0RC3 Apache 1.2.6 on a RH5.0 system.

If I should submit a new bug # please let me know.
