it would be extremely cute if one could use JS code from PHP and vice
versa, but I guess that the only decent way to do this would be by
using CORBA or somesuch mechanism.
in any case, I think the time will come where ORBs and/or application
servers for persistent and centralized storage and execution of code
is inevitable. a lot of people around me are hacking distributed
systems using Java and CORBA, and it seems as if this is the next big
hype.
we should perhaps attempt to attract some CORBA-hackers to the PHP
development.
