There's zero information here to go on. I can assure you
a simple query like this works fine with the ODBC driver,
if it doesn't, it has to be something that's specific
to your setup.
Are you able to connect?
Do you get an error message?
Are you sure you have permissions to run this query?
Do other queries work?

Please gather as much information as you can, and update
this bug report.
