Hmmm, what's that stale sun4 doing there?
Try seeing where it comes from in the Makefile and remove it
Please report if that helps, and if it doesn't, whether the problems you had compiling Apache/MySQL were
similar, in which case you probably have some sort of an installation problem of gcc or some related
utility.
