No, we're a bunch of inconsiderate bastards who do not want to add
functionality that people may find useful to PHP.
And if you apply the patch to your own copy of the source, we'll
hunt you down and beat you up. We simply can't tolerate other people
making changes to PHP and sharing those changes with others.

As far as I am concerned (and I think most of the core PHP guys
would agree), Manuel is free to add this to the CVS tree. If he
does not have access to the tree, the relevant information on
getting access is on the website.
