Is fixed now :)
va.php.net was running 2.2.10 with an old eepro100 driver, which had
some known
"issues", so basically to sum up, the network driver fried itself. I've
upgraded
the box to 2.2.12 + the latest eepro100 driver (which is working great
on themes.org
& linux.com).
