[PHP-DEV] Bug #3644: apache core dump + MySQL-shared libs From: amm2 <email protected>
Date: 02/27/00

From: amm2 <email protected>
Operating system: linux
PHP version: 3.0.15
PHP Bug Type: MySQL related
Bug description: apache core dump + MySQL-shared libs

Hello,
I have discovered that when I compile and install php-3.0.15
having MySQL-shared libraries installed, I get the coredump. If I don't have the MySQL-shared libraries installed but only the .a ones and I compile and install php into apache, there is no problem! I discovered this by accident after installing php in 2 identical machines, only on one I had forgotten to install the MySQL-shared rpm !
Could someone explain why the php apache module cannot work with shared the MySQL shared libraries ?

Thanks

Alex
