[PHP-DEV] *NEWBIE IN TROUBLE* MSSQL and PHP on win32 platform From: Jeff Strain (jstrain <email protected>)

I am up against a deadline and need some help. I have installed PHP3 on
win98 SE. I am also running MSSQL Desktop Edition and PWS. I am looking on
how to connect to my database and having some difficulties. I am fairly new
to databases and PHP, but PHP is rather simple if you use Unix Scripting, C,
and other programs similar to those. I have PHP so that it is generating
the entire page, I just need some hints on how to set up the mssql_connect
and ODBC drivers to allow this. I am currently doing a prototype of a much
bigger project and security is currently not an issue. Mssql_connect
mentions user and password and I was lost from their.
