[PHP-DEV] RE: PHP 4.0 Bug #4256 Updated: MySQL query produces 'not a valid MySQL-Link resource' From: Michael Glover (mdg1 <email protected>)
Date: 05/28/00

I have updated to the latest version (the release version) and the problem
has disappeared; if you feel that it is worth pursuing, I'll re-compile the
old RC1/RC2 binary and take a closer look... (The problem first appeared
under PHP4.0RC1, but I had the same problem under PHP4.0RC2 as well....)

I do know for a fact, however, that when I did *NOT* specify the handle, the
error still occurred. I had tried this because I had seen a post on the
bugs tracking page where someone managed to get around the error by not
specifying the handle; but, again, this did NOT work for me.
