From: michael <email protected>
Operating system: Linux 2.2.15
PHP version: 4.0.0 Release
PHP Bug Type: Reproduceable crash
Bug description: Part of bug #4485
Some more information regarding bug #4485 -> we are running 5 web servers and sessions are written to a common directory via nfs fileserver. The segfaults appear to get worse the more sessions are in the directory and the higher the garbage collection setting is in php.ini. Maybe php dies when the session data becomes semi-inconsistant - ie: one web server deletes the file and another one does at the same time when the file does not exist. Just an idea.
