Maybe you either haven't been using IDS 2000 or things like LVARCHAR and

There's the problem of distinguishing NULLs from valid results but Danny is
already aware.

Ok, I am still too busy to find time to finish the documentation of that
and other new general purpose classes that I have developed based on
Metabase, but I expect to write it soon.

Anyway, Metabase Informix is basically done based on a first version
contributed by Pierre-Henri Delaval. I just need to add a few more options
and document any relevant details specific to Informix and a beta version
will be posted in Metabase development mailing list file area in eGroups.

It would be nice if you could test it then. Subscribers of the mailing
list are automatically notified when new files are made available. It may
be better for you to subscribe to the mailing list to also be notified
there.
