Actually, there is a bit of a gap sometimes between
software releases and manual updates.

Each of the curl function references are marked
'CVS Only', this just doesn't appear in the
curl intro.

In the meantime, you can grab a snapshot from
snaps.php.net, it works fine. It will be in the
upcoming 4.0.2 release.
