Not too fast, dude. I've tried with 8, 16 and even 32Mb, and i got
this problem after upgrade PHP to 3.0.16. When i was using 3.0.12,
the same system (IMP) works without problems.

The "BUG Description" i've quoted is the message i've got in logs. The
message i got in netscape after the bug happen is something like
"couldn't use more memory, i tried to allocate 4Mb but i need just
1.6Mb".

I don't think that a simple script like a compose window that uses an
attached file of 1Mb will uses more than 32Mb...
