I SOOOOOOOOO (sarcasm....drip drip) love how the writer gives his low
opinion, yet PHP was by far the fastest of all 4.
And a lack of editors...how about Homesite, Dreamweaver, or, my personal
favorite, VI.
And the API issue, well we all know that that can't hold up...Metabase,
PEAR, and numerous others.
It just shows that they just install and go and take no time to read
documentation on anything they test.

Subject: [PHP] eWeek article
Hello,
My mailbox got stuffed with another print version of eweek,
and the front page was devoted to an article about a test
of 4 scripting languages, php4 included.
It was not particularly flattering. There is an online
version, verbatim.
http://www.zdnet.com/eweek/stories/general/0,11011,2646052,00.html
It was authored by Timothy Dyck.
Regards
Mike Robinson
(If any of you have puppies, I urge you to get a free sub
to the printed eweek. Very absorbant.)
