btw, there are that many patches going in now and some of them are very
interesting
- serializing references /var_dump
- output compression
- asymmetric encryption
just to name the last 3 and of course many, many bug fixes.
As far as these OO issues are in order and maybe popen() too, why not
call it 4.1 then, I think it´s worth that version number, especially to
underline the "only variables can be passed by reference" change, which
is likely to break some code...
I´ll try out as many new stuff as possible these days...
