    I wouldn't mind giving anyone root access on an isolated box
    with backups and detailed logs available.

    That is exactly the situation we face with CVS today. If
    someone screws up, just replay your backup.

    I'd like to hear someone with experience using ACL systems in
    CVS. How fine-grained are they? Are they easy enough to
    admininistrate?
